A North Judson man was injured in an accident that occurred Tuesday, July 2 just before 9 p.m. CT in the area of Range Road and 500 South.
According to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined that a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 50-year-old Kenneth Ratzlaff, of North Judson, was traveling east on 500 S. when he reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign and pulled into the path of a silver Hyundai Elantra, driven by 22-year-old Elizabeth Krueger, of Knox. The pair collided.
As a result of the impact, Ratzlaff was thrown from the motorcycle and was injured, according to the report. He was airlifted from the scene to a regional hospital for treatment. Krueger was not injured.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Starke County EMS, the Bass Lake-California Township Fire Department, and the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department.
