The Culver Town Council will soon hold hearings for the 2025 budget.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim asked the town council Thursday, August 22 for the necessary approval to advertise the 2025 to which the council provided unanimous support.
Heim noted that the 2025 budget will include $400,000 for a down payment for a new fire truck and an increase in the town’s contribution to the Marshall County Council on Aging for transportation support. The budget will be advertised high with potential cuts before the adoption takes place.
A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for Thursday, September 26 during the council’s regular meeting where the entire budget will be presented with explanation by Heim of the funds within the budget. The budget adoption will be in October.
