The Knox Middle School was the subject of the Spotlight on Success portion of the recent meeting of the Knox Community School Board, according to Superintendent Greg Mikulich.
“They have endured a lot of different challenges this school year,” said Mikulich. “We wanted to highlight them and the staff and the great things that they’re doing there.”
He noted the chillers that were ordered should be delivered at the beginning of September so the staff is preparing for that HVAC work to start.
In other projects at the corporation, Mikulich noted that the siding project at the high school was discussed and the material will match the neighboring multi-purpose building.
The board also approved a change to the Classified Staff handbook which added one bereavement day in the event of the passing of an aunt or uncle.
Additionally, the corporation will now be offering girls wrestling as approved by the school board.
