Knox School Corporation Superintendent Gives Update on Air Quality Issues at Middle School

Knox Community School Corporation Superintendent Greg Mikulich gave an update on air quality issues at the Knox Middle School.

The air conditioning unit at the school is not keeping up and while it is anticipated to be replaced soon, it has caused some air quality issues at the school. A unit is on back order, according to Mikulich.

In an update released Friday, August 2, Mikulich stated that the results of an air quality test at the Middle School indicate that it is safe for students and staff to return to the school. The effect of high humidity and air conditioning concerns will continue to be monitored.

Students will arrive for the first day of school Tuesday, August 6. If problems continue or new problems arise, Mikulich said adjustments will be determined with the safety of students and staff in mind.
