North Judson-San Pierre School Board Adopts 2025 Budget

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board took action during their last meeting to approve the proposed 2025 budget.

Superintendent Kelly Shepherd said Business Manager Dalton Tunis provided the board with the Capital Projects Fund and the budget in general.

Shepherd stated, “A few things within the Operations Fund – we have budgeted in the area of technology approximately $670,000, electric and gas over $700,000, roof repairs we have $60,000 sitting there in case there’s a need that arises. He provided the Bus Replacement Plan and we have budgeted $315,000 for the potential purchase of three new school buses.”

According to the Notice to Taxpayers on Indiana’s Gateway website, the Rainy Day Fund was budgeted at about $432,000, the Debt Service Fund was estimated at about $1.3 million, the School Pension Debt Fund at about $64,000, the Education Fund at $8.250 million, and the Operations Fund at $4.5 million for a total of about $14.5 million.

The Starke County Council also accepted the budget during their meeting August 19.
