Starke County Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals to Meet Tonight

The Starke County Plan Commission will meet tonight where they will hear from Roberta Lee concerning solar decommissioning agreements.

The members will continue a discussion on a possible pond ordinance and talk about a 750 N. survey.

The Harshreel property is a topic of discussion along with other properties.

The Starke County Plan Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. CT tonight, followed by the Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting at 6:30 p.m. CT.

A public hearing is planned to consider a Developmental Standards request by Brenda Varga to keep shipping containers on an R-2 zoned area where storage containers are not permitted on property located at 650 S. west of 6260 S. 700 E. in Knox. Another public hearing is planned to consider an area variance request by Adam Sworden to build an 80X66 pole barn accessory structure on a lot without a dwelling that is less than 10 acres in an R-2 zoned area located at 8940 S. 700 E. in Monterey.

Both meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
