The Starke County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a National Night Out event Tuesday, August 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. CT at the Starke County Justice Center at 5435 E. State Road 8 in Knox.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, National Night Out is an event that is recognized nationally throughout the United States. During this event, the public, law enforcement and community partners come together to take back the night solidifying these partnerships as they move forward together.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Office consists of road patrol, detectives, strategic response team, dispatch and jail staff and they look forward to partnering with the community for the betterment of the county.
Sheriff’s Office officials have invited several other partners to this event who provide support and important resources in the Starke County community, such as the Bowen Center, HUB Coalition, Healthlinc, and many others who will be on hand to answer any questions.
Fun activities are planned for children who attend with their parent/guardian. Child ID kits will be available as well as a K9 demonstration.
