Culver Town Council Approves Infrastructure Bid for Housing Project

The Culver Town Council voted to approve a notice of award for The Dunes infrastructure project.

Town Attorney Sean Surrisi opened the two bids received during the council’s last meeting in August for the project. Rieth Riley Construction bid $3,243,397 while Construction Management and Design submitted a bid of $1,318,298.50.

The bids were reviewed by Town Manager Kevin Danti and Utility Superintendent Bob Porter who recommended that the lowest bid submitted by Construction Management and Design be approved. The notice of award to the lowest bidder was approved by a vote of 4-1 with Bill Githens opposed.

Another motion was approved by the same vote to give permission to Culver Town Council President Bill Cleavenger to sign the contract.
