Officials with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management are teaming up with ERI, the Starke County Environmental Management District, Secure Shred, and the Knox Community School Corporation to host an E-Waste collection event in Knox Saturday, October 5 at the Knox Community School Corporation at #2 Redskin Trail from 9 a.m. to noon CT.
The collection event will be open to all members of the public who would like to rid homes of unwanted cables and wiring, televisions, batteries, camcorders/cameras, cell phones, circuit boards, computer monitors, computer towers, and computers (including desktops, laptops, and tablets), copiers, digital media players, digital photo frames, DVD players, DVR/TiVo devices, e-readers, fax machines, game systems, iPods/MP3 players, microwaves and handheld appliances, pagers and palm pilots, personal digital assists, portable GPS navigation systems, printers, routers, scanners, VCRs, and video equipment, and any other devices that have external use with a computer.
Unwanted electronics can be dropped off by drive-up or walk-up. For a contactless delivery, stay in the vehicle and staff from ERI will unload unwanted electronics.
