The North Judson Town Council members approved trick-or-treat hours during their meeting Monday, September 16.
Trick-or-Treat will be Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CT.
In addition to trick-or-treating, the council approved an outdoor Halloween decoration contest called “North Judson’s Haunting Households”. It is a residential holiday decorating contest open to all households within the incorporated town limits. Pre-registration is required with no fee. Judging will apply to outdoor decorations as viewed from the front of the home, but judges will consider window decorations that are visible.
The top prize is a gift card and there will be two winners for the best decorated homes. Two honorable mentions will be awarded at the judges’ discretion.
The entry application is due to officials at the North Judson Town Hall by October 17 at 4 p.m. CT. The application is available below and should be printed and mailed to Town Hall, dropped off at Town Hall, or emailed to billing@townofnorthjudson.com. Employees and board members will not be eligible to enter.
Judging will take place the weekend of October 19 and 20 and the winners will be announced during the North Judson Town Council meeting Monday, October 21.
