The North Judson Town Council members opened a public hearing on the 2025 budget during their meeting Tuesday, September 3.
According to the Notice to Taxpayers on the Indiana Gateway website, the total estimated General Fund budget is $1,066,000, Local Road and Street is about $377,000, Continuing Education at $3,450, Park Department at $50,054, Cumulative Capital Improvement at $6,500, Cumulative Capital Development at $17,500, the Economic Development Income Tax is about $152,000, and the Local Road and Bridge Matching Grant is $363,000.
There were no public comments on the budget.
After the public hearing was closed, the council voted unanimously to approve the budget resolution on the first reading. The second reading and adoption is scheduled during the council’s next meeting Monday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the North Judson Town Hall.
