Knox Mayor Reminds Residents of Trunk or Treat Event

Knox Mayor Dennis Estok reminded the Knox City Council members Tuesday night that the Trunk or Treat event hosted by the Starke County Chamber of Commerce, Knox Park Department and the City of Knox is planned for Sunday, October 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT at Wythogan Park in Knox.

Businesses and non-profit agencies may set up trunks in the park and pass out treats to children. The line-up begins at 1 p.m. with trunk set-up at 1:30 p.m. CT.

Following Trunk or Treat, ABATE will host a costume judging contest at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox after 4 p.m. on Sunday. Refreshments will be served. There will be prizes for children in several age groups including infant-3 years, 4-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-16 years. There will be awards for Best Group/Family costume.

The City of Knox trick or treat is Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. CT. Also, the Town of North Judson trick or treat is October 31 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CT and in Hamlet it is October 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. CT. More information on trick or treat hours can be found here.
