The Knox Redskin Brigade will perform at the ISSMA Semi-State competition Saturday, Oct. 26.
During the Regionals event Saturday, October 12, the Knox Redskin Brigade competed against nine other bands at Lafayette Jefferson High School. When awards were announced, bands were not ranked from first to last. Instead, the bands are judged and then given Gold, Silver, or Bronze Ratings. Then, the bands can additionally earn distinctions in Effect, Visual, and/or Music.
The Redskin Brigade performed its show “The Light Within” and received a Gold Rating and a Visual Distinction.
The top ten bands from each class were chosen to advance to the Semi-State competition. Semi-State will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26. The Redskin Brigade, according to www.inbands.com, is set to perform at 6:15 p.m. ET with awards at 7 p.m. ET.
