North Judson-San Pierre School Board Holds Bond Hearing

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board members opened a public hearing last week to hear comments on the proposed bond resolution.

Superintendent Kelly Shepherd said after the hearing the board approved resolutions that would move forward the bond process which includes the 1028 resolution, the reimbursement resolution, the bond resolution, and additional appropriation resolution.

Shepherd said the bond money will help complete more projects at the school corporation.

“The list is long, and we’re still working on narrowing it down,” said Shepherd. “We know we have some roofing needs, we have science labs in both schools that are showing their age, we’ve got a track that is original and showing its age, and then we have a whole host of other things that the board is taking under consideration. Depending on what kind of pricing and costs come in, we might be able to do some additional-type things.”
