Officials with the Town of North Judson have planned a ribbon cutting ceremony for the recently completed Town Park improvement project.
The town was awarded a Land and Conservation Fund grant in the amount of $500,000 to help fund the upgrades to the park. There were other contributing funds from the North Judson Redevelopment Commission to come up with match money and from the county.
The park has several new features including sidewalks, a walking trail, two pickleball courts, a pavilion with picnic tables, permanent cornhole boards, and beach volleyball. The basketball court was also resurfaced. The park is located at the corner of Weninger and George Streets. The Ober Arbor Gleaners organization donated six picnic tables to be placed at the newly constructed pavilion.
To celebrate the completion of the project, a ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for Saturday, November 9 at noon CT at the park followed by a short reception.
