The Pulaski County Council members approved the 2025 budget during their meeting Monday, October 14.
Of the major funds, according to the Indiana Gateway website, Pulaski County’s General Fund is estimated at about $10 million, the Courthouse Lease Rental is about $1.1 million, the Highway Department is $4.6 million, Local Road and Street at $260,000, Cumulative Bridge Fund at $385,000, Health Department at almost $200,000, Jail Lease Rental at about $339,000, Cumulative Capital Development at $307,000, CEDIT at $1.8 million, Veteran’s Court Grant at $134,500, Community Crossings Matching Grant at $1.5 million, Aviation Grant at $570,000, LIT-PSAP at $739,000, Opioid Restricted at $135,000, Opioid Unrestricted at $41,000, Health SB 4 at $328,000, LOIT Public Safety County Share at $1.5 million, and American Rescue Plan Act Funds at $1.5 million.
The total budget advertised is $27,461,462. The council did hold a special session to discuss the budget and made some adjustments and the council approved the budget as amended from that meeting. The final number was not presented during Monday’s meeting.
The council also adopted the Van Buren Township budget after being presented with it and reviewing it Monday night. The General Fund is $66,200, Township Assistance at $4,100, Township Fire and EMS at $88,900, Cumulative Fire at $75,000, and Donations and Rent for $11,000.
