The Starke County Council members will meet this afternoon with several items on the agenda.
To start, the council members have called a discussion on the airport’s budget and personnel. Following that portion of the meeting that begins at 1 p.m. CT, the regular session of the meeting will include Angela Temple whowill discuss the Starke County Fair Board, and Lisa Dan who will be talking about a utility solar workshop. Starke County Recorder Mandy Thomason will discuss the shredding of old documents and an additional appropriation for that action. The additional appropriation will be considered for approval.
Starke County Court Services Director Shawn Mattraw will present an opioid funding request and Clerk Bernadette Manuel will discuss elections and veterans.
NextEra representatives will have a battery storage presentation and discussion.
A resolution of an Economic Revitalization Area for the NextEra/Dunns Bridge project will be presented for consideration.
The council will also discuss the open door policy, and the approval an additional appropriation for PERF due to underfunding.
The Starke County Council will meet at 1 p.m. CT today in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
