The Knox Community High School is hosting a financial aid event Thursday, November 21 at 5 p.m. CT at the High School Cafeteria to assist families with the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) form.
It is a state requirement of high school students to fill out the FAFSA form. It applies to all students, but it is not a requirement for high school graduation. The law requires students to submit the FAFSA by April 15 of their senior year, which is the deadline to be eligible for state aid in addition to federal aid. Parents may sign a waiver to decline to complete the form.
Officials from INvestED will be present to assist parents in explaining the FAFSA form and college planning.
