The Pulaski County Commissioners are searching for a new Veterans Service Officer.
Pulaski County Commission President Chuck Mellon announced Monday night that William “Bill” Walker submitted his resignation from the position. Mellon commented that he hopes that a new person could be appointed to the position by the end of the year. Walker will help train the next person to succeed him in the office.
The position has been advertised and Mellon hopes to get some applicants to move someone quickly to the Veterans Service Officer role.
In other business, the Pulaski County Commissioners unanimously approved the ongoing agreement with Purdue University for extension program services in the amount of $70,835.
