Just over 62 percent of voters cast a ballot in the November General Election in Pulaski County. There were 5,848 voters who voted early and who were at a polling site on Election Day to vote Tuesday, November 5.
In the local contested races, it was Republican Jenny Halleck Knebel winning the Pulaski County Commissioner District 1 seat over Democrat Doug Denton. Republican Donald (Don) Street Jr. defeated Independent candidate Logan R. Wuethrich for the Pulaski County Commissioner District 2 seat.
There were four candidates vying for three At-Large seats on the Winamac Town Council. Republican Tom J. (Tommy) Murray had the most votes, followed by Democrat Larry L. Weaver and Republican James Walter Watkins.
There were six candidates vying for three Eastern Pulaski School Board Monroe Township seats. The top three candidates were Jimmy Terry, Greg Kiser, and Stephen E. Steve Rausch.
For Medaryville Town Council Member At-Large, Republican Ashley Salyer will occupy a seat, as well write-in candidate Independent Nicholas Gillock. There were three available seats, but those two candidates were who voters chose.
These are unofficial results. The Pulaski County Election Board will have 10 days to certify the election. There are some provisional ballots that will be reviewed.
