Two Injured in North Judson Accident

Two people were injured in an accident that occurred Tuesday, October 29 just before 6:30 p.m. CT in the area of State Road 10 and 1000 West in North Judson.

According to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation indicates a motorcyclist was westbound on State Road 10 when it came upon a pickup truck and trailer backing into a private drive.  The motorcyclist, identified as 76-year-old Edward Sienkowski, of North Judson, was transported to a landing zone at State Road 10 and Range Road and was flown to a regional hospital with non life-threatening injuries following the collision.

The other driver, identified as 60-year-old Donald Sliwa, of Grovertown, was treated at scene and released. 

State Road 10 remained closed for a short period while reconstruction of the crash was conducted by detectives from Starke County Sheriff’s Office.

The Starke County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Starke County 911 Dispatch Center, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, Starke County EMS, Lutheran Air and Pit Stop Towing.
