Workshop Informs, Guides Pulaski and Starke County Officials about Utility-Scale Solar Options

The Center for Energy Education recently hosted a renewable energy workshop in Starke County for public officials, academic advisors, and industry experts, specifically focused on utility-scale solar projects, and to outline and inform attendees of the role of renewables within the energy and workforce landscape as it continues to evolve and diversify.

There was discussion on renewable energy investments and opportunities to promote economic growth and diversify Indiana’s energy generation. Speakers touched on the status and future of solar in Indiana, the economic benefits of solar, renewable energy and land use, property values, environment, health and safety as well as vegetation management.

They also outlined how funds received through an economic development agreement may be used to improve their quality of life in Pulaski and Starke Counties.

Officials with the Center for Energy Education want to host a workshop for the public in the future, but nothing is scheduled at this time. More information will be provided once it is available.
