Knox City Police Increasing Patrols in Response to Recent Vehicle Thefts

The City of Knox has recently experienced a noticeable increase in stolen vehicle incidents. In response, Chief Chad Dulin and the Knox Police Department are conducting extra patrols and implementing additional proactive strategies to combat this issue.

“Our priority is the safety of our community and protecting their property,” said Chief Dulin. “Our officers are working diligently to increase visibility and prevent further vehicle thefts throughout the area.”

Residents can also play an important role in preventing their vehicles from being stolen by following a few simple but effective safety tips:

  • Always lock your vehicle doors when leaving your car unattended.
  • Secure your keys at all times and do not leave them in or near your vehicle.
  • Park in well-lit areas whenever possible, especially at night.
  • Do not leave valuables in plain sight within your car, as they can attract theft.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the police.

“We’re asking all residents to partner with us by taking these easy precautions,” Chief Dulin stated. “When we work together, we strengthen our ability to prevent crime.”

Anyone with information about suspicious activity or thefts is encouraged to contact the Knox Police Department at 574-772-4122 or call 911 in the event of an emergency.

The Knox Police Department remains committed to addressing this issue and ensuring the safety and peace of mind of every member of the community.
