The Medaryville Town Council will meet in special session tonight to determine which incumbent will hold over office for another term.
According to Indiana Code 3-13-9-5.5, if no candidate was elected to office of town council from a district in the election, the incumbent council member will hold the office under the Constitution of the State of Indiana until a successor is elected and qualified.
The November election found Ashlee Salyer and write-in candidate Nicholas Gillock as two candidates for three of the available Medaryville Town Council At-Large seats in the election. One more candidate will need to occupy the last At-Large seat.
Tonight’s meeting is at 6 p.m. ET at the Medaryville Town Hall at 409 E. Main Street in Medaryville.
