In a proactive effort to address the opioid crisis, the Pulaski County Drug-Free Council has partnered with the Town of Francesville and the Pulaski County Health Department to offer free Narcan (naloxone) kits to community members. The outdoor Narcan box is located on the west side of the Francesville Fire Department.
This life-saving medication, which rapidly reverses opioid overdoses, is now accessible to individuals at no cost, 24/7. Narcan can mean the difference between life and death for someone experiencing an overdose. By equipping community members with this crucial tool, the Drug-Free Council and Town of Francesville aim to empower individuals to act swiftly in emergencies, potentially saving countless lives.
The program aligns with ongoing efforts to educate the public about overdose prevention and the importance of addressing the opioid crisis with compassion and action. Community members are encouraged to contact the Pulaski County Health Department to learn how to administer Narcan.
