The Starke County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Starke County Community Corrections Wednesday, December 18 shortly after 3 p.m. CT to assist with taking an offender into custody.
Police say due to previous alleged violent acts by the offender, the county’s Strategic Response Team was activated. Officers responded to the 1100 E. block and 150 S. to assist. On scene, with the assistance of the Strategic Response Team, officers from Starke County Community Corrections were able to take the offender, identified as Nickadamous Fletcher, into custody without incident.
Nickadamous Fletcher was transported to Starke County Jail for processing and holding.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
