Thanks to the generosity of local donors, the Starke County Community Foundation received over $222,000 during their 2024 Giving Tuesday Campaign.
Community contributions, combined with the local match money and over $315,000 in Lilly Endowment matching funds, the Foundation’s 2024 Giving Tuesday total was more than $538,000, a record-breaking amount.
On December 3, the Starke County Community Foundation hosted the annual Giving Tuesday event at its North Judson office, where countless community members mingled and celebrated the international day of generosity. The event was catered by 10-56 Brewery & Catering with sweet treats from Fingerhut Bakery and Cookies by Arielle as well as coffee from the Rabbit Coffee Roasting Company.
Giving Tuesday, always held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, brings the generosity of people all around the world together to make real change, and year after year, Starke County exceeds the day’s sentiment. All dollars donated will be put back into the community through grants and scholarships in alignment with the foundation’s mission to improve the quality of life in Starke County now and forever.
“I’m so appreciative to everyone who helped out with and participated in SCCF’S Giving Tuesday event,” said Jacque Ryan, Director of Development. “We wouldn’t be able to do the work we do throughout the community if it wasn’t for our donors, and I’m incredibly inspired by the generosity of caring community members!”
There is an ongoing $2 match for every $1 donated to any community funds that will be available through 2025. Visit the foundation’s website at www.nicf.org to see how donations are making a positive impact on your community.
