Starke County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to investigate a call of a missing juvenile Sunday, December 1 in the 4600 E. block of 150 N. in Knox.
Deputies learned that the child had been missing for approximately one hour. Police say due to the weather conditions, the Porter County Search and Rescue team was contacted, as well as local fire departments.
Deputies and search team members remained on scene, actively searching until approximately 9 p.m., CT when the child was located.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Porter County Search and Rescue, La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, Knox City Police Department, Knox-Center Township Fire Department, and the Washington Township Fire Department.
