The Hamlet Town Council members met for the first time in 2025 Wednesday, January 8.
Dave Kesvormas is returning to the Hamlet Town Council following the November General Election and this is the first term for Shirley Budka after being elected to the council in the November General Election. Budka had been serving as Councilwoman after a Caucus to fill the position was held in September 2024 following the passing of Connie Bailey. Brian Earnest is the third councilman.
The council members unanimously retained Dave Kesvormas as the Council President while Clint Norem was retained as Town Marshal and Kevin Leinbach was retained as Street Superintendent.
The council voted to change meeting dates. Beginning February 1, the Hamlet Town Council will meet on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Hamlet Town Hall. They adopted that change by passing a resolution.
