The Knox City Council members will meet for the first time in 2025 tonight.
The council will elect a Council President Pro Temp and make appointments to the Knox Redevelopment Commission, Knox Plan Commission, Knox Board of Zoning Appeals, Starke County Economic Development Foundation, and Starke County Solid Waste. Knox Mayor Dennis Estok will also make his annual mayoral appointments.
Clerk-Treasurer Cyndi Kidder will have her regular report, and Mayor Estok will present his regular report to the council.
The Knox City Council will meet at 6 p.m. CT tonight followed by the Knox Board of Works meeting. The board will swear in the police officers on the Knox City Police Department and then hear updates and reports from department heads.
Both meetings will be held at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center at 55 E. Lake Street in Knox.
