The North Judson Town Council members approved a resolution during their meeting Monday, January 20 that would rename the town’s dog park in honor of former council member Jane Ellen Felchuk.
Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe read aloud from the document that pointed to Jane Ellen Felchuk’s tireless efforts to establish a dog park in the town limits for the enjoyment of the community, along with her many years of service to the town and its residents. He stated that the town wishes to commemorate Jane Ellen Felchuk’s service through the naming of the dog park.
It will now be called The Jane Ellen Felchuk Honorary Dog Park. It is located at the very north end of the North Judson Town Park.
Rowe and Town Manager Joe Leszek will be working to get the proper signage to designate the change at the park.
The council unanimously accepted the first reading of the resolution and its adoption.
