The Pulaski County Commissioners took action Friday, December 27 to hire a new county attorney for 2025.
The commissioners previously tentatively approved the hire of Jacob Ahler until they reviewed his contract. During last week’s meeting and after having reviewed the contract, the commissioners unanimously approved Ahler’s one-year contract.
The commissioners also unanimously approved the fourth quarter invoice submitted by Kevin Tankersley who is the county’s outgoing legal counsel.
The commissioners also took action to appoint Roy Mullis as the new Veterans Service Officer. Then-Commissioner Chuck Mellon commented that Mullis grew up in Pulaski County and is a West Central graduate. He has been in the service, is a veteran and his resume was quite extensive and qualified for the job. The commissioners unanimously approved Mullis as the new Veterans Service Officer.
