The Pulaski County Commissioners reorganized during their first meeting of 2025.
Don Street and Jenny Knebel are the two new commissioners seated on the Board of Commissioners as a result of the November 2024 General Election. They were sworn into office in a ceremony held in December.
Knebel made the motion to appoint Street as the new Pulaski County Commission President which was seconded by Commissioner Mike McClure. The motion passed with a vote of 2-1 with Street abstaining. Street then made a motion to appoint McClure as the Vice President which was seconded by Knebel. The motion passed with a unanimous vote.
The first order of business was a request from Pulaski County Health Administrator Edwina Guffey to paint the Health Department office. She said it has been several years since it has been done and she said funding for the project would be taken from the Cares Fund. She said it would cost about $3,000 in labor and the purchase of paint would be at a cost of about $750. Guffey said Alexander Construction would do the work. The commissioners unanimously approved the request.
