The Starke County Commissioners will meet today where the commissioners will welcome newly elected Commissioner Michael VanDeMark and welcome back re-elected Commissioner Charles Chesak. The commissioners will reorganize during tonight’s meeting.
Following the reorganization, Highway Department Superintendent Rachel Oesterreich will discuss the pug for paving, and Chris Shelmon and Chris Neff will discuss the Mammoth Solar Economic Development Agreement.
North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Chief Todd Jackson will discuss radios and Spencer England will seek information on the permitting process. Auditor Michaelene Houston will speak on night meetings and a stipend. Bass Lake and Koontz Lake easements will also be brought up during tonight’s meeting and an FMLA extension will be requested by Pam Bailey.
The Starke County Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. CT tonight in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
