The Starke County Dispatch Center recently released statistics from 2024.
There were a total of 22,130 calls for service into CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), and 4,431 – 911 calls. Non-emergent calls totaled 7,403, and 10,123 traffic stops, warrant checks, business checks, paper service, and out with subject events were logged.
The dispatchers also tended to 167 walk-ins and responded to five texts to 911. When it comes to 911 calls, 99.3 percent of all 911 calls in 2024 were answered within 10 seconds or less.
