Pulaski County EMS Director Presents Requests

Pulaski County EMS Director Natasha Daugherty presented information to the Pulaski County Commissioners during their meeting Monday night.

She presented paperwork from the USDA grant received for the purchase of the ambulance that was just put in service for the county. The grant paperwork was for the reimbursement of the full amount of what was initially agreed on in the amount of $303,424.08. The commissioners unanimously approved the signing of that document.

Additionally, Daugherty said the parts needed to repair one ambulance were obtained so maintenance is being done. She had not prepared other quotes for a new ambulance as of that meeting.

Daugherty also asked for a dedicated phone line for transfers from the hospital. She said if the hospital calls and there happens to be no one on base then the call goes to the director’s voicemail. She wants to be sure that a transfer request is not missed so she asked the commissioners for a dedicated transfer line and they unanimously approved the request.
