
The Starke County Technical Review Committee will meet Wednesday, February 12 at 4:30 p.m. CT to discuss the submission of a Commercial Solar Energy System submission from Dunns Bridge Solar II project with Engineer Bob Aloi.
Following this meeting at 5:30 p.m. CT, the Starke County Plan Commission will meet where a public hearing will be held concerning an ordinance placing a moratorium on Solar Energy Systems (CSES) for 12 months. Another public hearing is scheduled to consider an ordinance placing a moratorium on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for 12 months.
The commission members will also receive updates on several properties under code enforcement including the Economy Inn in Hamlet, unsafe structures on 250 S. owned by Thomas DeCola, and properties owned by Greg Wireman on State Road 39 in North Judson and Anthony Joseph on 500 N. in Grovertown.
The members will also discuss the submission of the Commercial Solar Energy System submission from Dunns Bridge Solar II, dependent on the Technical Review Committee meeting. A worker’s comp requirement/exemption certificate will be discussed, as well as electronic meetings, and a the attorney’s contract termination.
Both meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
