Fatal Dump Truck Crash in Pulaski County April 15th


According to a press release from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, At approximately 09:32 on April 15th, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department responded to a fatal crash involving a dump truck and a minivan near the intersection of US Highway 421 and County Road 800 North.

Upon arrival, Deputies located a white minivan with severe front-end and driver-side damage at the northeast corner of the intersection. The driver of the minivan was pronounced deceased at the scene by Starke County EMS.

The dump truck involved was found stopped in the southbound lane of US Highway 421 with damage to its rear axle.

The dump truck driver voluntarily submitted to a blood draw at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in accordance with Indiana law following a fatal crash. Results are pending.

The Indiana State Police are conducting a full reconstruction of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
