La Porte – According to a press release from the La Porte County Sheriff, at around 2:51am on April 15th, deputies responded to County Road 300 East, south of State Road 4 regarding a personal injury crash.
The initial on-scene investigation determined that a white 2019 Ford, driven by 22-year-old Macayla R. Boone of La Porte, was traveling south on CR 300 East.
The vehicle traveled left of center, off the east side of the roadway, and crashed into 2 tree stumps.
Boone was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology test results are pending.
