Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals to Meet May 14

The Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals, or BZA, will hold a meeting tomorrow, May 14th at 6:30pm Central Time.

The meeting will be held in the county government building located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.

Items on the agenda include a public hearing to consider a use variance request by Kimley-Horn Company. The request is to place a 290-foot guyed tower including a lighting rod and associated antenna equipment at 200 South Toto Road in Knox, on property owned by TS Triple M Land LLC.

There will be a second public hearing to consider an area variance request by Richard Vlaming, to place a garage on a non-adjoining or adjacent property to the primary residence. The secondary property also belongs to Vlaming.

Under the old and new business section of the Agenda, BZA will discuss the estimated budget for 2026, and a variance application before adjourning the meeting.

The next regular meeting of the Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals will take place on June 11th.
