KNOX – According to a press release from the City of Knox, Mayor Dennis Estok has announced that Knox residents can expect to receive a survey in the mail in regards to chicken ownership.
The survey will be mailed to all residents within city limits later this week. The purpose of the survey is to help guide the decision-making process on whether to allow chickens within city limits or not.
Residents who complete the survey must be the owner of the house and the name and address portions of the survey must be completed in order for the survey to be counted.
The survey is to be completed and returned to the Clerk-Treasurer’s office at City Hall by May 21st. City Hall is located at 101 West Washington Street in Knox.
If you live within city limits and don’t receive a mailed survey, one can be picked up at City Hall between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Questions can be directed to the Knox Mayor’s office at 574-772-4553.
