According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources or DNR, this upcoming Sunday May 4th is the opening day of Visit Indiana Week.
DNR is celebrating by offering free admission to all Indiana State Parks properties on the 4th.
Multiple state parks will be celebrating with events this weekend, including a fungi walk at Indiana Dunes State Park, a campfire-building class at Chain O’Lakes State Park and a talk featuring ways to invite hummingbirds into your backyard at Fort Harris State Park.

Additionally, May 4th is a Free Fishing Day throughout Indiana, meaning that a fishing license is not required to fish that day.
