The Starke County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting on Monday, June 2nd at 5pm Central Time.
The meeting will be held at the Starke County Recorder’s office, located at 53 East Mound Street.
Items on this agenda include discussion on Election Equipment with the County Clerk, discussion on a Memorandum of Understanding for Bella Vita with the Health Department, and discussion with Sheriff Jack Rosa in regards to purchasing a pickup for maintenance. Following that, Commissioners will discuss any vendor or payroll claims. After approving the minutes from the last regular meeting, Commissioners will discuss Planning and Board of Zoning Appeals appointments as well as the commissioners’ estimated 2026 budget. After any other business that may come before the board, the meeting will be adjourned. This meeting is open to the public.
Immediately following the regular 5pm meeting, the Starke County Commissioners will hold an executive session. The items on the agenda for this meeting fall under the Indiana Codes for Discussion of a real property transaction, to review negotiations on the performance of publicly bid contracts when public knowledge regarding the review would cause a likelihood of increased costs, and to discuss soliciting proposals for the purpose of awarding contracts or services when public knowledge regarding the discussion would reasonably be expected to result in private loss to the providers of the information. Executive Sessions are not open to the public.
