MEDARYVILLE – According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Transportation, or INDOT, there will be a resurfacing project in Pulaski County, on US 421 South of Medaryville.
The contractor for the project is E&B Paving LLC, and they will begin resurfacing on US 421 between the two junctions of State Road 14 on or after this upcoming Tuesday, May 27th. During the resurfacing activities, the road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing traffic in the area where work is occurring. This project will be ongoing through early August.
As part of this project, U.S. 421 will fully close to traffic for approximately four days on or after Monday, June 9 for a culvert replacement. Motorists should seek alternate routes. The official detour will follow State Road 14, State Road 39 and State Road 16.
INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
