Today, June 5th is the Art at the Forest Event sponsored by Northern Indiana Community Foundation, Northern Indiana Plein Air Arts, and the Starke County Parks Department.
From 9am to 4pm Central time, or 10am to 5pm Eastern Time, visitors to the Starke County Forest will have the opportunity to attend special programs, chat with artists who have been inspired by the Starke County Forest, and purchase art from local artisans.
Programs include topics such as Apps for Nature Hike, forest stories, a photography hike with Tony Straw, a creation station, nature crafts, and more.
The Starke County Parks Department notes that the event is open all day and visitors can come and go as they would like.
Boxed lunches for attendees will be provided for free by 10/56 Brewing. Foldable chairs are recommended for those who would like to sit while they eat.
The Starke County Forest is at 10655 East Division Road in Knox.
