
According to the National Weather Service for Northern Indiana, the first heat wave of the year will settle in across northern Indiana by Saturday and persist through at least Tuesday.
Conditions are expected to be hot and humid during the day, with temperatures predicted to reach as high as 96 degrees by Monday. Overnight lows won’t get much lower than the mid 70s after Friday night.
The National Weather Service reminds us to take frequent breaks or reschedule activities to cooler parts of the day to help prevent heat illness.
