The Knox Parks and Recreation Board recently shared the minutes from their May 28th meeting. The minutes were recorded as follows:
Attendance:
Board Members Present: Gary Dulin, Lora Estok, Lucy Rizzo, Ruth Bailey.
Board Members Not Present: Glenn Barnes, Nathan Bradley
Others Present: Mike and community members
Approval of Minutes from April.
• Motion to approve: Ruth Bailey Second: Lucy Rizzo. All in favor.
Public Comment Thanks to Mike for working hard. Park looks good.

Old Business None
New Business:
• Resignation of Billy Whitehead. Gary was going to ask Mayor Estok for recommendations from previous candidates. Motion to accept resignation Lucy Rizzo, second Lora Estok, All in favor
• Slats for pickle ball court will wait for next meeting since Glenn was unable to attend this meeting.
• Concession stand contract for concession by field 2-3 need to get more information on city’s cost before going forward.
• Need softball and baseball schedules to see number of games being played.

• It was discussed that Dennis Fornelli or coaches for baseball/softball are responsible for turning off lights and making sure the equipment door is locked as there are usually no park employees available to do so at those times.
Board Member Comments
Ruth requested future meetings be held at the Community Center
Lora had a question on what is going to be done about the old concession stand. It has been damaged and may not be able to be fixed and only being used for storage. Also mentioned that bathroom door hinges and handicap door stall are not closing properly in both women’s bathrooms. Table at damaged pavilion number 3 needs to be removed. Diamond 3 fence by the catcher needs to be pulled back.
Lucy mentioned pickle ball courts need to be cleaned or fixed.
Bobby mentioned food trucks being parked by the concession stands during park events.
