According to information shared from the Knox City Police Department, a traffic stop Tuesday led to the seizure of over 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
On June 24th, a routine traffic stop by the Knox City Police Department resulted in the arrest of a local man and the seizure of over 18 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
During the stop, officers observed suspicious behavior which led to further investigation. The driver, identified as James Bailey, age 34, was found in possession of a clear plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance that tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of additional suspected methamphetamine.
Bailey was arrested without incident and transported to the Starke County Justice Center. He faces preliminary charges of:
Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony
Habitual Offender, Level 5 Felony
