According to the Knox Center Township Fire Department, around 5am Central Time on Friday July 25th, their Engine 2 responded to a structure fire in the area of 150 North and 500 East.
Initially believed to be a house, Engine 2 arrived on scene to find a fully involved detached garage approximately 600’ off of the roadway. KFD members remained on scene for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes before returning to service.
Hamlet Fire, Bass Lake Fire, Washington Twp. Fire, Starke County EMS, Starke County EMA, and Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies also responded to the scene.
