According to a press release from the Kiwanis Club of La Porte, the 2025 4th of July Parade details have been finalized.
The 79th Annual La Porte 4th of July Parade is set to begin shortly after 10am Friday, July 4th. This will be the 5th year running in which the Kiwanis Club of La Porte serves as parade organizer.
There are over 100 entrants to the parade this year, which will travel along Lincolnway and J Street starting at Tipton Street’s east end, and head west around the J Street curve towards Andrew Avenue. The parade will feature a large American flag being walked down the route by Boy Scouts of America, as well as bands, clowns, floats, and novelty entries.
The parade theme this year is Community Service in Full Bloom. Grand Parade Marshals include Dr. Dee MacDonald, President of Bethel University, and Maggi Spartz, Founder and President of the Unity Foundation of La Porte County.
Road closures are scheduled for 8am on parade day, and those setting up to join the parade are reminded not to block sidewalks or entrances as some businesses will remain open on July 3rd.
La Porte’s Fireworks Show, the Independence Celebration Fireworks Show over Clear Lake, will begin at dusk at Fox Memorial Park.
